Robots Softball

Librarians,

The East Village Softball Association is hosting an All Star Game is on Tuesday, July 13, 11am – 3pm. We need to send a few players to represent our fine team.

The game is always a good, festive occasion. All Stars play in a nine-inning game and get a free t-shirt. There’s a home run derby at 11am, followed by the main event shortly thereafter.

Balloting closes on Sunday at 2:00 PM. The results will be announced shortly thereafter.

Our relief pitcher, utility infielder, and all-around clutch hitter is celebrating his birthday party tonight at the The Gibson, at 108 Bedford Ave, in Brooklyn.

All team members are invited to come out.

The Robots are pleased to announce that we have a new sponsor for 2010.

Beginning this spring, we will be sponsored by The Gibson, at 108 Bedford Ave, in Brooklyn. The Gibson has been a great watering hole for our league, due to their proximity to McCarren Park and their generous drink specials. Though we will have new team apparel this spring, we will retain the Robots name.

The Robots would like to thank Mulholland’s for sponsoring us over the last two years, and we wish them well as one of the best sports bars in town.
